Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if my order is damaged?
A: Call or email Ranger Doug’s Enterprises right away. Keep all product and packaging for 10 days. Ranger Doug’s Enterprises will send you replacements right away and put in a claim with UPS or USPS. UPS or USPS may want to inspect the package, which is why we ask you keep all product and packaging for 10 days. After that please dispose of damaged product.

Q: Do you offer other sizes of your posters?
A: No. Each poster is the result of lots of time and financial investment. Simply making a larger or smaller poster is not possible. Each poster is hand serigraphed.

Q:  I see these posters offered on Ebay and elsewhere that are different sizes–what gives?

A:  These are calendar cutters–who cannibalize pages of our annual calendars.  These calendars are printed offshore and therefore not available in parks.  Each calendar contains 13 images (including the over image).  To discourage this gouging, we now print our large wall calendar back to back and with the copyright adjacent to the design.  These are offered at prices above our screen prints.

Q: Why don’t you have my favorite park or national monument?
A: Each design is the result of much time and financial investment and is a collaboration between Ranger Doug, computer artist Brian Maebius and each park or national monument’s Chief of Interpretation and bookstore manager. New designs are always in the works, and can take several years.  Check our Home page News column and our Facebook page for new releases.

Q: What are the sizes of the posters?
A: Generally:  13-12/” wide X 19″ tall.  I say generally because the original restoration process from old black & white photos had parallax issues–so we standardized the width and let the height fall where it may.  Today, as we reprint with computers, we are standardizing to the above dimension.  Older editions will be slightly different than our current editions.  We highly recommend you wait to receive your poster before framing.

Q: Do you offer framing?
A: We do not. We do however have several framing business that carry our products and recommend their services to you. Please check them out here.

Q: Do you make T-shirts, coffee cups, mousepads, or any other items?
A: No trinkets here!  We are staying true to the art of WPA posters by offering beautiful hand serigraphed posters on acid-free 80 lb cover.  We also print on card-stock (postcards and notecards) and calendars.  By park demand, we now also offer refrigerator magnets and stickers–so decorate your ‘fridge’ and your water bottle.

Q: Will you send tracking information for my order?
A: We will send you tracking information on all poster orders. The tracking information email comes from either UPS or USPS. Please check your Junk Email folder if you don’t see it.

Q: $12, $18 and $25 seem expensive for shipping?
A: Shipping is very expensive and fluctuates with gas prices. We have spent considerable time coming up with what we believe are fair shipping prices, based on over 33,000 orders shipped to date! Most of our shipping prices have actually gone down slightly in 2018.

Q: How fast is shipping?
A: We ship from Seattle Monday-Friday. Generally orders are shipped within 1-2 business days of receipt. We ship most orders via USPS. USPS is generally 2-3 business days for all parts of the US. Poster orders of 6 or more will go UPS (up to 6 business days)and be packed in a large flat box. If you need faster shipping call us and we can quote pricing for expedited orders.

Q: Why do you no longer offer flat shipping? Can I get flat shipping?

A: While we love UPS and appreciate all their service to us over the years, the prices have gone up and we were finding flats costing much more than we were charging you. We’ll now ship orders of 6 or more posters flat via UPS Ground. For flat shipping on less than 6 posters, call us for a price quote (generally around $25).

Q: I see your address is in Seattle. Can I come to your store?
A: Our only warehouse is not open to the public.  However, we will give tours to groups, by special permission, who want to hear the story and see all 65+ designs on one wall.   We have great retailer outlets in the Seattle area ready to assist you.

Q: Do you do custom work?
A: We do not. Each design is the result of much time and financial investment and is a collaboration between Ranger Doug, artist Brian Maebius and each park or national monument’s Director of Interpretation and bookstores.

Q: Do the window stickers stick to the inside or outside of glass?
A: The window stickers stick to the outside of your window. They are made with fade-resistant UV ink on durable vinyl, suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Q:  How can I get an autographed book?

A:  Request this on your order.  If we have signed editions, you’ll send you one and even do special dedications if Ranger Doug is around (he’s usually out on the range).
